Joint Mobilization

Joint Mobilization is a type of passive movement of joints. It is a specific graded force applied in specific planes of motion and aimed at a ‘target’ synovial joint. The aim is to achieve a therapeutic effect of increased range of motion, decreased restriction to movement, and the reduction of pain and improved movement. When applied to the spine, it is known as spinal mobilization.

Therapeutic Exercises

Exercises to improve ROM, strengthen muscles, work on endurance, flexibility, stability and restore movement using weights, Thera-bands, stretching and other methods to improve function.

  • Posture, positioning, and Body Mechanics
  • Gait Training
  • Kinesiotaping
  • Sports injury rehabilitation
  • Work Injury rehabilitation
  • Ultrasound
  • Electrical Stimulation

Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM)

IASTM is a treatment modality that uses specialized instruments to complement standard massage therapy.  The specialized instrument allows a more concentrated treatment to the soft tissues involved in movement impairment.

Dry Needling

Dry needling is a therapeutic treatment procedure that utilizes thin, solid filament needles to deactivate and desensitize trigger points in muscles.  This is an evidence-based technique that helps reduce muscle tension and decrease dysfunction of motor end plates. It is called ‘dry’ needling as the needle uses no medication. Dry needling boosts your body’s natural ability to heal, subsequently helping you to experience less pain and improve function.

Dry needling can be used to decrease pain, improve muscle tension, and for neuro re-education. Dry needling can be done in any muscle in the body. If you have jaw pain or feel tension on your shoulders this can be a great technique to try for your jaw and upper trapezius muscle. It has also been found helpful in relieving headaches and migraines, when needling suboccipital muscles and even the temporalis muscle.

Percussion Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization Treatment

This treatment is focused percussive mobilization to dysfunctional soft tissue to promote flexibility and performance.  This also accelerates recovery. Research has shown that percussive mobilization can be effective in reducing delayed onset muscle soreness used percussive mobilization to dysfunctional soft tissue to promote flexibility and performance.  This also accelerates recovery. Myofascial Decompression

Myofascial decompression is a novel manual therapy approach that combines negative pressure techniques incorporating cupping therapy to improve mobility by increasing myofascial mobility and neuromuscular re-education.

Neuromuscular Re-education

A technique for re-education of balance movement, coordination, kinesthetic sense, posture, and proprioception. This technique uses specific postural or position-based exercises and always involves visual, tactile, auditory, or kinesthetic feedback to help improve Balance, coordination and fall risk prevention.
